Mushroom Biryani Recipe

This mushroom biryani is bursting with flavor!

The biryani is layered with yogurt-marinated mushrooms, basmati rice, fried mushrooms and onions, saffron, and cilantro.

Ingredients you will need:

Step 1. Marinate half of the mushrooms in a mixture of yogurt, spices, ginger, and garlic.

Step 2. Cook rice until it's al dente, then stir in ghee.

Step 3. Saute the remaining half of the mushrooms with onions until browned and crisp.

Step 4. Saute the marinated mushrooms with onions and spices.

Step 5. Layer the biryani in a pot with the rice, mushrooms gravy, fried mushrooms, and herbs.

Step 6. Cover the pot, then set it over medium heat for 5 minutes to warm up the biryani. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting on your stove, then set a timer for 20 minutes. Finally, turn the heat off, and allow the biryani to sit for 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve!
